Now you can calculate your savings on lifecycle and operating costs when you choose continuously produced pipes with diffusion barriers.
isoCalc calculates the pipe dimensions and heat loss in order to find the best possible pipe system. The new function calculates the ageing of the insulation in pipes without diffusion barriers as an average over 30 years.
The calculation is based on a new λ value of 0.027 w/mK, a typical new value for a traditionally produced pipe without a diffusion barrier, but you can choose your own value.
The average λ value, as an average over a period of e.g. 30 years, is used in the present value function and compared with an isoplus new value of 0.024 w/mK for continuously produced pipes that do not age (due to the diffusion barrier).
Try for yourself – and see how much you can save on your specific project.
